I know this is a health, fitness and strength & conditioning blog, but I feel it would be remiss not to mention the triumph of the Egyptian people today. There are sure to be many tough days in front of Egypt and its population, but this is a hopeful step in the right direction for human rights and liberty in a region were it rarely exists. The bravery and courage to stand against oppression is something hard for us to imagine, and yet another reason I am so thankful to be an American and for all those who fought/fight relentlessly to create, provide and secure our way of life. God Bless Egypt, God Bless America, and thank you to all those that serve!

I recently returned from a trip to Las Vegas celebrating the marriage of a great friend and his lovely wife. When in Vegas playing BlackJack I am always looking for paint (face cards), yet despite my repeated requests the Aces rarely found a painted friend. Luckily I didn’t have to rely on the luck of the draw and had my man Cesa and his team, Precision Land Development, to make sure I got paint when needed. Great job fellas, starting to look good!

I really felt good about this one! I got 10 rounds and about 70 yards. My weight was 55lbs for front squats. By the 8th round, everything burned, my lips were numb and I had to pee (damn you tuck jumps)! Luckily I made it to the end without any accidents!
You did great! Squats are starting to look pretty around here….Shayne and Michelle I’m talking about you too.
I was able to keep up with Shayne and knock out 9 rounds and a shuttle run! I did a 40-lb weight, probably should’ve done 50 lbs. Hadn’t done them in awhile so my arm positioning was poor at first go, hurting my wrists, and kinda making me fearful of adding more weight. Turns out I’m more flexible than I thought! Won’t make that mistake again! Great WOD; loved the tuck jumps.
